Coral Stone Table Bases Information
|
Please Note: No Marine
Life is damaged our disturbed during our manufacturing
process, since the quarry is above ground at this point. (It
was below sea level many, many years ago)
What is Coral Stone:
As more and more layers form,
their weight compresses and cements the layers at the
bottom, forming limestone. Details of skeletons and shells
are often preserved in the limestone as fossils. The result
after millions of years is coral stone.
How is a Coral Stone
base made:
The process in making a Coral
Stone Base is a very long, laborious and delicate. The
process starts when the blocks of stone are brought to the
manufacturing facility.
Here the stones are cut into
more manageable sizes. Following that, we start piecing by
piece, gluing everything together with an amazingly strong
bonding solutions.
Once the basic structure
has been assembled, we start hand carving with very small
and precise tools each and every single accent and shape you
see on these bases.
Remember, every single detail is hand carved, we do not use moldings of any kind (you can’t it is real rock!) It’s like doing a sculpture. These bases will last a lifetime! They are water resistant and very heavy. If they get dirty, they are very easy to clean! If the base gets stained you can lightly sand out the stained spot. You can use these bases in an indoor or outdoor setting. Please t ake a look at our bases Click Here Back | Coral Stone Base Page | Home Page |
