SAFETY PRECAUTIONS & INSTRUCTIONS
*
To safeguard against injury,
basic precautions are necessary and should be observed. Please read all
safety instructions before attempting to operate your aquarium.*
Read and follow all Safety
Instructions:
DANGER - Electric shock
and other injuries can occur without following safety procedures and
instructional guidelines provided in this manual.
-
To avoid possible
shock, locate a clean, level, non-skid, sturdy surface that will
support 45-50 pounds. This will prevent uneven water
distribution inside the tank that could cause dripping or
leaking onto electrical cords, plugs and outlets.
-
Locate your aquarium
near an electrical outlet to avoid excess wiring that may create
safety hazards and / or tripping.
-
Do not plug in your
aquarium to an electrical outlet before filling it with water.
-
Carefully inspect
the aquarium, after filling with water and provided materials to
ensure no portion of the aquarium is wet that is not intended to
be wet. Electrical wires and light bulb socket need to be
completely dry before plugging your system into an electrical
outlet.
-
Do not handle any
form of electrical devices, lamp bulbs and the sockets if your
hands or clothing are wet or damp. Dry your hands and work
station completely before powering your aquarium with electrical
means.
-
Always unplug
electrical equipment from the outlet before performing
aquarium maintenance of any kind.
-
If a plug or
outlet gets wet, DO NOT unplug the cord. Disconnect the fuse
or circuit breaker that provides power to the aquarium.
-
Never
move the aquarium if it is full or partially full of water.
Extensive damage and cracking can occur if it is not
properly drained.
-
Do not attempt
at any point to disassemble the aquarium, reef structure,
electrical wiring, themed façade, cylinder or any other part
of the system that has not been instructed in the owner's
manual.
-
If the aquarium
shows any sign of abnormal water leakage, immediately unplug
the system from the power source.
-
Do not operate
the aquarium if it has damaged cords, plugs, light bulb
sockets, cracked acrylic walls, or if it is malfunctioning.
Do not operate the aquarium if it has been dropped or
damaged in any manner.
-
Close
supervision of children is required when this aquarium is in
use.
-
Do not attempt
to handle moving parts, light bulb or socket when the
aquarium is in operation and powered by electricity.
-
Do not use this
aquarium, its contents, or functional features for any other
use than what is stated in this owner's manual.
-
Do not install
this aquarium near a heat source, air conditioning vent, or
where temperatures will be below freezing.
-
Do not install
this aquarium outside or in any other area where it will be
exposed to natural elements.
-
This aquarium
has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). If
the plug does not easily fit into an outlet or extension, do
not force it. Reverse the plug and try again. If the plug
still does not fit with ease into the outlet, contact a
qualified electrician. Never use an extension cord unless
the plugs completely fit into the socket.
